Our Programs

  • Study abroad programs and internships  that provide university students, researchers, gap-year students, and other interested volunteers with opportunities to study, live, and work in the field of sustainable development in Senegal.  All students work in teams with Senegalese counterparts, assuring a cross-cultural experience.
  • ICT training programs that teach computer skills in Microsoft Office, website creation and computer maintenance to local government units in partnership with national local government associations.  The programs also serve ecovillages and transition towns throughout Senegal.
  • Cultural exchange activities that support cross-cultural dialogue on sustainable development issues by providing conversation clubs, language and cultural activity classes for international visitors and other means for supporting exchange.
  • Eco-village training programs that teach sustainable development and literacy using Ecovillage Desing Education (EDE) curriculum, accredited by Gaia Education.  We also have 'training of trainers' programs supporting sustainable technologies in alternative energy, reforestation, permaculture, microcredit, health and ecotourism.
