Senegalese Students - How to Apply

Senegalese students should apply directly through the EREV Institute. Senegalese students receive scholarships to enroll in our academic programs as work-study candidates, contributing to integration of American students into Senegalese society and to translation (from local languages to French) during field work in ecovillages, to allow American students to participate in coursework and social events with villagers. Candidates should apply directly to the GENSEN Living & Learning Center, as work-study candidates. GENSEN takes responsibility for admitting students, forwarding student information to Living Routes, and delivering University of Massachusetts, Amherst, transcripts to Senegalese students.

Admission Requirements:

  • Successful completion of the Duel II

  • 8 years of English classes in middle and secondary school, or other proof of English proficiency

  • Interest in program participation [cross-cultural facilitaton and translation]

  • Complete availability over the three month course period

  • Submission of a letter of request and a recent CV

Senegalese and other students who are not currently enrolled in an American university find these transcripts useful as proof of their capacity to successfully carry out US level academic work. The transcript from the University of Massachusetts may assist in obtaining admission to an American or other international university, and help to fulfill the requirements of their university degree.

We cordially invite you to enroll in our programs.

Please apply or inquire by email.
